Beenie Man Speaks Out on Future Fambo Fallout: “He Needs Help”
Dancehall legend Beenie Man has publicly addressed his ongoing feud with longtime friend and collaborator Future Fambo, describing the situation as deeply personal and urging fans to show compassion rather than criticism.
In an emotional Instagram video, Beenie revealed that he had remained silent for weeks but felt compelled to speak because he believes Fambo is facing personal challenges.
“People help him. Him need help,” Beenie Man said.
Reflecting on their decades-long friendship, Beenie recalled several occasions where he says he stood by Fambo during difficult times.
According to the King of the Dancehall, he financially assisted Fambo following the death of his mother and even intervened during a land dispute to ensure his friend was protected.
“My thing different. This is no joke thing,” Beenie explained. “Mi nah come pon no media fi talk, but tonight mi affi talk because him need help. Please, mi a beg oonu, help him.”
During the livestream, Beenie also made allegations about Fambo’s past drug use, claiming one incident occurred in the presence of his young daughter years ago.
Future Fambo Responds
Future Fambo quickly responded with a video of his own, disputing parts of Beenie’s account while admitting he struggled with drug addiction in the past.
The deejay clarified that the incident mentioned by Beenie allegedly took place at Beenie’s apartment—not at his own home—and said Beenie’s daughter was only eight months old at the time.
“I don’t take drugs no more,” Fambo stated, emphasizing that he has left that chapter of his life behind.
Despite addressing the allegations, Fambo reflected fondly on the friendship they once shared.
“Anthony Moses Davis was once my best friend, my don, my boss—but that is no more,” he said before ending his video by singing Dionne Warwick’s classic That’s What Friends Are For, a moment many fans viewed as both emotional and symbolic.
How the Feud Began
The public fallout between the two artists began in May 2026, after Future Fambo accused Beenie Man of failing to acknowledge his contribution to their 2011 hit “Rum & Red Bull.”
The controversy erupted after Beenie performed portions of the song during a viral Kingston livestream with internet personality IShowSpeed without mentioning Fambo’s involvement.
Fambo, who has consistently maintained that he co-wrote and featured on the Seanizzle-produced track, criticized Beenie publicly, accusing him of overlooking his contribution to one of dancehall’s biggest international anthems.

Since then, the dispute has escalated beyond music credits, with both artists exchanging allegations involving personal betrayals, past incidents, and possible legal action.
Fans Hope for Reconciliation
What was once considered one of dancehall’s strongest friendships has now become one of the genre’s most talked-about feuds. While neither artist has suggested a reconciliation is imminent, many fans continue to hope the pair can eventually resolve their differences and preserve the legacy they built together through years of collaboration.
For now, the relationship between Beenie Man and Future Fambo remains uncertain, marking the painful breakdown of a partnership that helped create one of dancehall’s most celebrated party records.
