Hey all
“As a producer, I deal with creative perfectionism.
As a label CEO, I deal with marketing anxiety. Seneca once wrote, ‘We suffer more often in imagination than in reality.’ I see this in double doses every day. In the studio, you obsess over a micro-detail, convinced it ruins the track. In your mind, you agonise over whether a release will flop, imagining worst-case scenarios. But when the music actually drops! The fans love it, the data stabilises, and those demons disappear.
We do this same thing in real life. We stay awake drafting arguments that will never happen or fearing failures that haven’t arrived. Stop mixing problems before they are even recorded. The reality is rarely as harsh as your imagination.”
Stay Bless.
