Released as a single on 25 May 2016, the legendary Jamaican singer Tinga Stewart brought his unmistakable voice to this Starr Vybz production. Apple Music confirms the release carried ℗ 2016 Starrvybz Entertainment.
The track subsequently appeared on the Scrub Down Riddim digital album, released on 1 July 2016 — a nine-track reggae project credited to Starr Vybz Entertainment.

🇬🇧 GRANTIE ASHER — “BLACK SKIN”
And then there was Grantie Asher — “Black Skin.”
This powerful UK reggae recording carries ℗ 2016 Starrvybz Entertainment, with Grantie Asher (Paul Grant) credited as the lead vocalist and songwriter, alongside Starrvybz Production on production.
Importantly, “Black Skin” should not be presented as one of the nine original tracks on the July 2016 Scrub Down Riddim album. The original nine-track release has its own documented tracklist, while “Black Skin” stands as a significant Starr Vybz release associated with this wider 2016 period.

“Originally produced by Starr Vybz Entertainment and released through Starrvybz Entertainment in 2016, ‘Black Skin’ was later taken into the Ariwa/Mad Professor camp, receiving new dub treatments and a subsequent Ariwa release — including the 2020 digital EP and 2021 ARI 288 12-inch vinyl.”
