Konroy Stephens, also known as Starr Vybz, is the founder and CEO of SVE Music, commonly referred to as Starr Vybz Entertainment Music.
The label is dedicated to producing, promoting, and developing reggae and dancehall music, with a mission to support established and emerging artists within these vibrant genres.
Konroy has produced and released music professionally for over 10 years. Notably, his single “Every Time We Touch” reached the top 10 on the UK Reggae Chart in 2014, and tracks produced through his label have been featured on major UK radio stations, including BBC Radio 1Xtra with David Rodigan.
Konroy took on the role of producer for the track ‘Every Time We Touch’ by veteran singer Tinga Stewart, collaborating closely with Tinga to shape the sound and direction of the single. This partnership marked a notable moment in Tinga Stewart’s career, as the production brought renewed attention to the singer’s legacy and reached new audiences. As part of the duo Ninja Man & Tinga in the late 1980s, Tinga achieved international recognition through numerous hits from Jamaica.
“Every Time We Touch” was a major success for Konroy in 2014, as this production catapulted him into the mainstream music scene, recognising his talents. This song features on the “Every Time We Touch” riddim album released on the Starr Vybz Entertainment label, and features various artists.
Whilst working very hard to establish the Starr Vybz label, Konroy’s achievements had not gone unnoticed. Konroy hooked up with the legend that is Frankie ‘Dancehall’ Paul (S.I.E.P), which resulted in the collaboration between Frankie Paul & UK artist Harmonie Deja. Starr Vybz, who is all about pushing homegrown talent, offered Harmonie Deja the opportunity to feature on a song with Frankie Paul, recording a great song called “Life” Released: 17 Apr 2015 ℗ on the Starr Vybz Entertainment label.
Konroy was definitely moving up as a producer, gaining recognition for another song he produced. “Love Everlasting” by Guyanese singer song/writer Miss Melody achieved an international award at the 2016 Guyanese music festival, winning the Single of the Year category.
This was another step in the right direction for Starr Vybz & the team.

In true reggae rhythm, Konroy has released riddim after riddim, working with legends like Tony Douglas (S.I.E.P), laying down smooth grooves with chart-topping Lovers rock singer Trevor Dixon, and lifting crowds with the pure reggae vibes of veteran Junior English. Each collaboration hits like a chorus—steady, soulful, and unforgettable.
Starr Vybz co-produced with Canada’s finest female artist, Tasha T, a track called “Reggae Jammin”, recorded live at the Starr Vybz recording studio on Tasha T’s birthday.
This track has an international appeal with a positive meaning in line with Tasha T’s unique selling point. This track was first aired in New York, followed by Canada & Caribbean.
Starr Vybz has also recorded Jamaican Sensation Thiller U and Singing Sweet. General B also features on a track “Stay Far” collaborating with Jamaican UK-based artist Hya P.
In early 2018, Konroy attended the Screen Nation TV & Film Awards. This ceremony featured the cream of the black British film & TV scene, alongside established stars from the world of sport, music, fashion, media & entertainment.
Konroy was proud to have been invited and to have one of his productions perform at this prestigious event, an extreme honour, especially as it was in celebration of the cast of the then-new Marvel Movie, Black Panther.
This was such a proud moment for Starr Vybz, which resulted in him meeting actor Idris Elba … another great moment for the UK producer.
