Because music is
the universal language
of mankind
Konroy Stephens, professionally known as Starr Vybz, is the founder and CEO of SVE Music (Starr Vybz Entertainment Music)—a UK‑based reggae and dancehall label dedicated to producing, promoting, and developing authentic Caribbean music. With over a decade of professional experience, Konroy has become a respected producer bridging Jamaica, the UK, the US, Canada, and the wider diaspora.
Konroy’s breakthrough came in 2014 with the single “Every Time We Touch” by veteran singer Tinga Stewart, which reached the Top 10 on the UK Reggae Chart and received major radio support, including BBC Radio 1Xtra with David Rodigan. The track, produced and shaped closely in collaboration with Tinga, reintroduced the artist to new audiences and anchored the “Every Time We Touch” riddim album released under the Starr Vybz Entertainment label.
His rising reputation led to a landmark collaboration with reggae icon Frankie “Dancehall” Paul (S.I.E.P), pairing Frankie with UK artist Harmonie Deja on the single “Life” (2015). Konroy continued to build momentum with “Love Everlasting” by Guyanese singer‑songwriter Melody Thomas, which won Single of the Year at the 2016 Guyanese Music Festival.

Across the years, Konroy has produced a wide range of reggae and dancehall projects, working with legendary artists including Tony Douglas (S.I.E.P), Trevor Dixon, Junior English, Thriller U, Singing Sweet, and General B, alongside rising UK talent such as Hya P. His co‑production with Canada’s celebrated artist Tasha T on “Reggae Jammin”, recorded live at the Starr Vybz studio, further expanded his international reach across New York, Canada, and the Caribbean.
Konroy’s work has also been showcased at major cultural events, including the Screen Nation TV & Film Awards in 2018—an evening celebrating Black excellence in film and television and honouring the cast of Marvel’s Black Panther. One of his productions “Black Skin” was performed live at the ceremony, marking a proud milestone that also led to a memorable encounter with actor Idris Elba.
